You there?

Yes! *laughs*

Hazaa! Good to have you with us, Claude

*laughs* Why of course, Sebastian.

Cool! So, who shall begin?

I think you, because you would automatically feel suspicious over me acting like a weird stalker... I repeat, Alois is weeeeeeird!

:XD: Yes, Alois is...weird
Alright, let's see...

I'll admit to being better at writing an entire scene than just conversation

DX
I just wrote out an entire scene and my internet crashed and deleted it!!
DAMN IT!

Okay, give me a sec. I'll write it in a Doc, just to be safe

:huggle: My apologies

The stillness of the night couldn’t compare to the loud joyous sounds coming from within the tavern before him. The trimmed and tidy butler, dressed in a raven black overcoat, took this last moment to breathe in the fresh air of this cool evening. With that, he swung open the door, the full force of the drunken atmosphere hitting him square in the face, ruckus laughter and cheerful music deafening all around it. Sebastian stalked in silently, as though he weren’t even there, taking a seat at the bar. He only lifted his head once, nodding to the barman for a drink.
“The criminal has appeared to have chosen the perfect hiding place. All those in this bar appear to be of the...unsavoury kind,” the thought slipped through his mind, a calmness on his face.

But that soon disappeared as a new feeling grew. One of unease. Someone...was watching him.

[I can’t remember what it sounded like the first time, but oh well]

[It's good.]

Thank you

The eyes of a spider peered at him with a quiet, almost innocuous scrutiny.
[Dunno, just my two cents worth...]

...that's it? You can write more if you want
If not, I'll continue

I'm good with either... it's easy to agree with you. You don't awaken my ever-present anger.

but:

But?

I'm trying to write *laughs*
But failing miserably.

Don't worry. It takes practise. This is a very difficult way to write

There was a slight tapping of white gloved fingers as the unsettling (to a human at least) amber eyes stared at him.

[Good, good :D]

The crow could feel it. A set of eyes upon him. Dark menacing eyes...demonic eyes. He was here. He was in this very bar. But why? But where? If he turned...what would happen? Sebastian decided to wait. Wait for the spider to come to him

[Sorry, the connection isn't good. May take some time...at times ^^;]

*laughs*

The crow. His master was seemingly obsessed with the crow and Ciel Phantomhive. The formerly tapping fingers reached up to adjust his glasses and neatly push back his hair. Sebastien Michaels was waiting for him, not in the exact sense, but waiting for him to reveal himself.
How clever.

[Oooh, this is going very well ]

Time moved by the demons, both waiting for the other. It was as though the ticking of the clocks could even be heard, Sebastian growing increasingly wary of the nearby threat and his lack of action. No. He would have to do it. He didn't want to. It could put him in a vulnerable position...but there was no other choice He turned, and began scanning the bar. It wasn't that hard to miss Claude when the crow's eyes eventually settled on him.

Red eyes. Almost the opposite of his own amber. Claude let the sinister half-smile settle upon his face and he raised his drink in greeting. No doubt, Sebastian was here on an errand for his master. He stood and smoothed his hair once more with exaggerated care. The Trancy butler would never look anything less than impeccable. Now, to make contact and to unsettle the crow even more, with a simple offer.

*with but a simple offer.

[Oooooh!!! No, this is really awesome!! I am booking you in advanced for future writings!! ]

Sebastian watched as each step drew the two closer together, his look tilting slightly. Every muscle tensed as he mentally prepared himself for whatever this creature could throw at him!

[Yay! *throws and dances in confetti* I'm enjoying myself]

[I am too!!]

How...Amusing. He watched as Sebastian tensed and raised his hands in a mockery of a gesture normally meant for peace. Normally, he would be eager for a fight with one such as Sebastian, but tonight he had thought of something more entertaining. Claude didn't let the numerous rowdy drunkards fill his attention, though his mouth tightened in a slight frown as one fell in front of him. Disgusting. He stood on the filth and continued forward.

[Very Claude-like]

It felt strange as Claude stood before him finally, unscathed from those around him. As to be expected. Sebastian wondered whether or not to stand, but decided it was easier to tackled the man before him from his seated position than it was to fight him head on from an upright one. The two glanced to one another, eyes not daring to look away, waiting for the other to speak. Sebastian drew in a breath, and began, "It has been some time, Claude."

[I enjoy figuring out how people's minds work. Claude is entertaining. He has such a calculated rage.]

[It's fun, isn't it?]

“Indeed, Sebastien. Please, may I sit?" He gestured at the empty stool next to his rival.

[A lot of fun!]

>>> And so begins the many of our ‘Going-completely-off-topic’ ramblings that create new stories in between the actual story...Enjoy :la: <<<

["No! Go away" Sebastian yelled, like an upset child]

The crow considered this. Something within him told him to just walk away from this situation. Take it somewhere where others wouldn't see. The last thing he needed was for Ciel's name to be brought into this if it was found out the Phantomhive butler was in a hellish fight. But he was curious. Perhaps he could play this out in a different manner. One that didn't involve fists and curses. He flipped around in his seat, "If you wish."

[Claude stomps his feet, petulantly. "You never share your food with me! It's unfair!"]

Claude wanted to laugh. The crow was actually going for it. And all this time, Claude had thought that all their interactions would end in bloodshed. As it was, he only let his mouth quirk up at the corners. "I do wish." He turned the chair to face Sebastian. If he was to talk to him, he would do it properly and look him in the eye - see every moment of indecision, watch him tense up. Claude never did anything by the halves, and he would follow that same principal while talking to Sebastian.

[The way I'm laughing so hard at that tantrum X'D "I'm telling Master on you!"]

His eyes remained glued on the butler beside him, his movements only making Sebastian's curiousity grow. What was Claude planning for him? Why was he trying to be so...friendly? Something was very, VERY wrong here....

It truly was incredible how he could act peaceable and yet the crow still acted as though Claude was here to destroy him. Not tonight. Maybe tomorrow. "Please, Sebastian, calm yourself. Let us have a truce. If only for now." The words slipped out easily.

["No, don't tell Ciel! I'll never have his soul if you do!" Claude cried out pathetically]

 [*sticks his tongue out*]

The crow felt something twitch. His eye. Yes, his eye twitched very slightly. A mere human wouldn't have even noticed it. But a demon - Claude - would have seen it. And it was clear that he had, as the gentleman's grin seemed to grow a little. Sebastian shut his eyes and turned away, a sneer evident on his face, "A truce, you say? You surprise me, Claude. Willingly asking for peace between the two of us." He allowed himself a moment, a small smirk appear as he opened an eye to the tall man beside him, "Feeling a little threatened, are we?"

The spider's grin fell and was replaced by a tightening of jaw muscles that signified the gritting of his teeth. "Not at all. I merely have no need to destroy you this evening. And as I said, it would only be for now." His eyes caught every small movement his rival made. Every minor tensing of muscles would give him an indication of whether or not Sebastian decided to kill him this night. He hoped not. This matching of wits and wills was... an intriguing diversion from the banality of his master's desperation and obsession.

Sebastian gave a slight scoff. He had gotten to him for a second there. Is this what the two were planning for the other? This need to watch the other squirm? He faced Claude properly now, the need to be cautious momentarily out of mind, "I must wonder as to why you suddenly want this truce between us. Why the need for it?" He leant in, ever so slightly, a menacing grin hoping to get the demon's point across, "What are you planning here, Spider?"

[Listening to Coldplay... It is at such odds with Claude]
[Claude pulled on a hurt face. "You could at least give me a little. I'd give you some of Alois' soul... Sharing is caring!"]

[But I don't want his soul! Ciel's is so much better! Besides, all for one!]
[I'm listening to....god knows what (put it on shuffle) ^^; Right now, it's Robbie Williams....hmmm]

[Is this a good sign?]
[Claude huffed like the diva he hides behind the calculated facade. "You're so mean!"]

[Probably not]
["I know you are, but what am I?” =P]

[Throws himself on the floor and beats his fists to the ground. "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!"]
[I'ved moved to Evanescence]

["NO!! Lemme alone, Claude!!"]
(I could make a comic out of this :XD: Although we have completely gone off track from the original story ^^;)
[I'm on Linkin Park now. The screaming is a great way to concentrate on writing :XD:]

[*laughs* It's so entertaining though...]
[Grabs Sebastian's legs like a tree trunk. "I won't leave you alone until you give me some! You'll have to drag me around!"]

[XD Indeed it is]
[Sebastian began grunting, pulling Claude along, "Let me go! CIEL! Claude's being a poopy head!"]
...yeah, he would never say that, but anyway :XD:

I think we've just turned Sebastian and Claude into toddlers... *laughs*

Oh, yes. I am definitely making a comic out of this :XD:
Gonna make them into little kiddies, whining and crying...fans will forever hate me]
Tis your turn, by the by (just checked)

Okay, it is then... x.x

*'laughs* I'm such an idiot sometimes.

No, you're not! Your writing proves that you are a genius in hiding  Not to mention the toddler bit we did there was incredibly funny :XD:

Claude leant in as well, grinning to reveal sharp teeth. "Maybe, I wish to unsettle you into believing that I am lying in wait to steal your master's precious soul. Maybe I am doing my master's bidding. Or, maybe I simply wish to watch you flinch, watch you second guess your every move." He tilted his chin back, studying Sebastian. Which option would he choose?

[Why thank you! *laughs* I think it's just your spare genius running onto me.]

[No, that genius is ALL you, my friend! If anything, I am lucky enough to have some of it rub off on me]

>>>Sorry, we do this a lot ^^; Just bare with us<<<

Sebastian leant a little back unintentionally, his grin now a fade memory. A sneer quite easily returned to his face, his eyes locked onto Claude's smug expression. The spider was here tonight to play games, hmm. The crow drew in a warm breath, the buzzed atmosphere around them not fazing him in the least, "You know, Claude; I believe with someone like you, it probably is all of the above."

[I think our combineed genius is creating a supernova... We are simply such amazing individuals!]

[:meow:]

A ghost of true laughter escaped Claude, startling him. Clever, clever crow. One slender eyebrow rose amusedly. How strange that the crow could make him laugh. He sat back. "But, of course, why not kill three birds with a single stone. Do tell me, who does your master have you chasing after, now?" It was true, why shouldn't he kill three birds with one stone? At least he would be entertained, rather than bored silly by his master's incessant whining and the three's aggravating whispering. Even Hannah was a terrible bore, with the strange adoration she held for their master.

The crow watched him intently. Some things still felt off between this interaction. Claude was up to something, other than just trying to 'kill three birds' here. He wanted something more from this experience. "I am here on my own accord," he lied. It was none of the spider's business as to why he was here. Which reminded him...wasn't he meant to be stalking out some criminal, and not here trying to make small talk with his enemy, "And you, Claude? Strange how you happened to be in the exact same place I was in, hmm?"

Liar. Claude would have pointed it out, but he could not bear for Sebastian to know how lmany favours he had had to call in to find this location. Still, he felt like rubbing his hands together in glee. This matching of wits and wills was something he had missed. It was all good and well to have a soul almost ripe for the devouring, but sometimes he needed more than just that. A challenge was exactly what he had always needed, and so far, Sebastian was the only one who could challenge him. He attempted to smile, but it was more of a grimace as he swept his eyes across the bar over the humans. "I, too, am here on my own accord." He looked back to Sebastian. "And I am here with you by simple coincidence."

[YEAH RIGHT, Sebastian roared]

The crow felt his eyes squint. Touché. It was only fair. If he was going to withhold the reasons of him being here, why expect anything less from Claude? They were both cunning in their given rights.... Sebastian scoffed again, "Coincidence, indeed." He looked to the demon, thoughts piling up in his head over what he should do next, "What is it you plan for me, then? Here we are, on this...'truce', as you like to believe....what do you want to do with it?"

[Um, Like, Excuse me, please don't, like, yell, Claude put his hands over his ears and acted as though he was semi deaf.]
[I can so see other fans shipping our Claude and Sebastian together *laughs*]

[Oh yes. I can see that as well :XD:]

He watched as the crow squinted. Hmmm, apparently Sebastian still felt threatened. But why would Claude with to end this little battle now, when it was just getting good? He would have to add a smidgeon of honesty to his act, after all, the best lie is the truth. He let his mouth curve into a smile, rather than the condescending grin he had sported for most of this meeting. "I may not have any plans for you, at all. My truce is exactly that, a truce. I'll admit, I did have to seek out your location this evening, but I merely wish to... speak to you. Is it so strange?"

[YES! Very much so! Sebastian roared once more]

"Demon's don't just talk, Claude. You know that," Sebastian breathed, not liking the way the spider said that last statement. It was...so genuine. No. But he had to have been lying! How cunning was Claude being here? Was...he really trying to be so lax with Sebastian all of a sudden? Was life with Alios that bad?! The crow sat further back into his seat, ushering over the barman, "Regardless. If you wish to speak, Spider..." The demon's eyes flashed red, "Speak."

[Jeez, fine, I'll dish the dirt on Alois, just stop yelling! Claude rolled his eyes.]

The spider watched as the crow regarded him suspiciously. He leaned against the bar, amost a picture of casualness except for the tension that he hoped the Sebastian would not notice. Maybe Sebastian had noticed how terribly strange and needy his master was. It was so tiring, how the little brat needed him constantly. He sighed. Maybe he would just confess that this whole business with Alois was simply a bother. Or maybe that would be to easy. "I but wish to know how you fare, I believe Ciel can be quite demanding." He shrugged. "And why shouldn't demons stalk to each other, for the sake of talking?"

[GOOD!!...oh, am I still yelling? I do that sometimes]

That was an odd request. Claude must have been struggling with Alios. His posture had changed since he brought up that topic. Hmmm. Interesting. Sebastian had a sip of his drink, almost forgetting completely that he had ordered one from earlier, grunting slightly, not used to the taste of liquor, "I do as he tells me, as is the job of a servant of the Phantomhive estate. He is...demanding at times, but I know that when all is done, his soul will be worth the petulant requests and bothers." He grinned at the spider, "Why? Not feeling fulfilled in your work, Spider?"

[Yes, you were. Claude sniffed huffily. But that's okay! At least you're listening to me!]

Claude gestured to the barman for a drink and tried to hide his sudden irritation. It was infuriating, that quiet confidence that Sebastian had. He would do all of it, because he knew that Ciel's soul was worth it. Alois was seeming less and lss worth it. He ground his teeth at the thought of how the brat would be childish for a moment and the start slinging to him the next. For once, Claude wished to reveal his feelings, which was a strange sensation in itself. He sighed, something he did more and more often these days and hid it with a half-smile. "Not at all, my work is adequate. Of course, my master has his moments, but once I make a contract, it is ironclad."

["Ha, sucks to be you, then, Claude," Sebastian smugly added]

"Yes, the contract," it almost felt like it was itching, the sign of his contract on his left hand. A binding contract that tied the demon to his master. There was...no way out of it. The agreed upon terms had to be completed first. The crow took another swig of his drink, trying to get accustomed to the taste. It didn't cause him to grunt this time. He gave a slight grin, rubbing the rim of his now empty glass, "Must be hard, with a...child like him, hmm? It's any wonder you're so interested in *my* young master."

["Well, now, I wouldn't say it sucks. I simply think I could have picked a better job... Definitely a better paying job." Claude sniffed.]
[I feel like I've turned Claude into a sassmaster... *laughs*]

Claude's hands twitched as Sebastian mentioned the contract. He took a sip of his drink to hide his annoyance with his master and grimaced as it burned all the way down. The spider didn't like the grin on Sebastian's face, but appreciated that Sebastian saw what an annoying creature his master was. "Not at all. Simply cumbersome, as my master has not yet learnt the art of strategising. And with a sould like his, there is not a demon alive who is not interested," Claude shrugged.

[I like him like this :XD: It suits him, in a way]
["Hey, we all have to make a living. Have you tried 'cat therapy'? Works well for me" :XD:]

The crow gave yet another snicker, a little surprised as it was let out. Hmm, now why did he do that? Was it perhaps this...drink? He looked to the butler as the barman poured yet another drink for him, "You two make an interesting pair, Claude. I'll say that much. Just know that when all is done, Ciel will still be mine, and you'll have Alois all to yourself." He gave a piercing smirk, one that would make anyone burst into furious flames, "Surely, *that* thought should keep you going, huh?"

[Man, I'm making him so smug :XD:]

["Oooh! I simply adore cats! Graceful creatures..." A cat strolls by and Claude chases after it. "Let me love you!"]

Before we continue...
I thought you'd like to see this (for a little inspiration)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEw-nm…

>>>Go watch it, and have a good laugh!!<<<

I loved it! *laughs* Claude looks all weirded out and then finally just is kinda like: "There, there. all our masters are weird as heck."

:XD: I thought you'd appreciate it. I kinda imagined that's where our fic would *eventually* end up (seeing as Sebastian has already put away a drink)
But yeah. Glad you enjoyed it

Well, after you, Claude

*laughs* Very good!

Even as he felt like strangling the crow for reminding him that Ciel was not yet in his grasp, he felt a strange sense of amusement at the snicker Sebastian had let out. Who had decided that demons were not supposed to talk, anyway? He could have had a (and he shuddered to even think it)- a friend. A friend with which to mock the unsuspecting, pathetic humans. He didn't, no, couldn't let his amusement show, though. "Indeed. Even though he is not the soul that we all seem to covet, his despair does have a rather bittersweet taste. I look forward to the completion of our contract."

[Ah, so that's what Claude is not so secretly after. Hmm...]

Who wouldn't be? Alois was not what Sebastian would call 'easy to work with', now was he? Ciel was no walk in the park, either. To be fair, they were both merely children, and their requests and demands fitted their nature and age...to some extent. Sebastian took a moment, a feeling arising. Forgetting for a moment all the tension between the two...the suspicion... This was...nice. A simple chat between the two. Demons rarely had such an opportunity. Was this what Claude was after...from the beginning. He blinked furiously, getting annoyed at himself. No, he was letting his guard down! Claude was still how he had always been! He was the enemy! Not a drinking buddy or friend you could just chat with, damn it! His eyes flipped over to the spider, hoping the other hadn't seen that moment of contemplative weakness. But that all-telling smirk sent a frown to Sebastian's face. What was about to come from the spider's mouth, he wondered...

The smirk settled on his mouth as he watched as the crow visibly relaxed and then tensed. He also felt it, then. Demons denied themselves so much, forcing themselves to live alone or rule other demons. What would it be to just sink into that feeling of being someone's equal, their friend? The spider's eyes flickered closed as he remembered something mostly forgotten from days far gone by, back when he was still human. Family was imposed upon you, but a friend you could choose. Whether it was someone to argue with or someone who you simply agreed with. He took a sip of that same drink that Sebastian had and grimaced. How was the crow drinking this poison? At the same time, the burn of alcohol took away the bitterness he had at choosing such an impulsive annoyance for his next meal. He sighed. "In truth, I almost regret choosing such... young prey."

His eyes almost snapped a little at that comment, his red rubies locking onto the gentleman next to him. What an interesting thought. And for Claude to so casually admit to it...out-loud. Sebastian let his look fall a little, a pathetic grin smearing over his face for a little as he reached for the re-filled glass, taking another sip, letting a few words slip out afterward, "I...can admit to feeling the same way, Claude. It has been...one of my most trying contracts so far." He shook his head as he chuckled once again, his bangs tickling his fair cheeks in the process, "Perhaps a lesson can be learned from the experience, hmm?"

Claude could not help the small smile that pushed its way past his normally blank (or else scornful) facade. Talking to Sebastian, this strange unintentional confessional, was a relief that had not thought he would ever need. He stared as the crow began to drink yet another a glass of the vile liquid. He took another sip of poison himself, half wondering if it was not impossible for this to become the norm for the two demons. He shuddered at the taste. "How do you continue to drink this... stuff?"

The demon felt his head tilt a little. He stared at the now half empty glass, his face feeling a little warm suddenly. Was something wrong with it? He lifted his shoulders into a shrug, "Is it not to your taste?"

An uncharacteristic laugh escaped Claude as the crow flushed. His eyes widened in surprise, how long had it been since he had truly laughed and not sneered or something of the same lines? It was a good feeling, one of acceptance. He took another sip of this terrible concoction. "Not particularly, it feels almost as though I am drinking flame. Humans astound me with the things they consume."

[I should send you the link to the manga. Sebastian attempted to try chocolate (icing) once, but he really didn't take to it well, saying it just tasted weird to him]

The crow gave a slight nod, "The things I have seen Ciel stuff into his mouth sometimes amazes me," He turned to Claude, noting his disgusted look, grinning slightly, "I find this...alcohol stuff..." *stuff*? Had he really said that? What was going on with him all of a sudden?! "...rather interesting. They have a peculiar effect on Humans, so it seems."

[*laughs* and I can just see Sebatian's face at this weird brown goop he's just made.]

[Just to feed the fandom, this was the image: th05.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f… ]
[Fangirls screaming everywhere :XD:]

Claude felt himself relax, little by little. He had not even realised he was tense. This was... Nice. He felt welcome, for once. He let out another laugh, revelling in this strange feeling. "I would advise caution, then, as I would rather you act like one of these-" he emitted a sound of distaste, "-creatures. I much prefer you when you are coherent."

[I actually heard those screams *laughs* Plus I think my comment on preferring might just send a possible rabid fan into fits...]

[Most definitely :XD: I can see the comments now....]

Yet another snicker tickled the back of his throat, the last of his beverage being drunk down as he let the comment sink in. He was aware of these little...slips. But it was as though he couldn't stop them. A small part of him wasn't sure he wanted to.... He felt his warm breath rush past his cool lips as he replied to that comment, "Prefer, hmm? Claude, I must wonder here...how friendly have we become with one another in the span of a few moments...how tensions have melted away into idle chit-chat...is that not strange, Spider?"

The crow had a point. A good one. How had it become so easy to let his feelings show and in such a short time? Though, he could not help losing his disciplined facade, not when the crow was... almost giggling, of all things. Not quite giggling, but not the normal (and sometimes worrisome) laugh he had. The spider shrugged, revelling in the ability to show his emotions, rather than hide them behid insults and threats. "I would have no idea. I feel compelled to blame that drink of yours. But do you not prefer this... idle chit chat to the battles we are forced to partake in on our masters' behalfs?" Claude almost regretted the words once they had left his mouth, he did not wish to seem less than the demon sitting next to him. But, what was done was done and there was certainly no going back, he could only hope that the crow did not think less of him.

[HAHA! NOW I'M DEFINITELY TELLING CIEL ON YOU!!]

The demon stopped still at those words. Claude brought up a point Sebastian hadn't even considered, one he would have never even imagined. Did he...actually enjoy this? No! He couldn't! He wasn't meant to! He was-was here on a job...set out by his master! Claude was luring him into a trap! Damn it! That was...that was it, wasn't it? The crow shook the worried look from his face, attempting to stand up in the hopes of confronting the accused. But a rush of dizziness came over him, standing too quickly for his liking. He tumbled back into his seat, a little blush across his cheeks. What on Earth was that? Why...did he practically fall back over? What the hell was in that drink?!

[Fine! Tell Ciel! I only wanted his soul because you wanted it!]

Claude did not really want to feel concerned, but he did. A bizarre rush of emotion that he could no longer remember feeling for anyone else but himself. He reached out to steady the crow but snatched his hand back as though scalded and stared at the offending limb as if it was a traitor. He had almost willingly tried to helpsomeone who was not his master! He breathed deeply to steady this sudden emotion. "Are you certain you are well, Sebastian?"

[I can see you are lying, you big liar *stick tongue out...again*]

After waiting for the slight dizzy feeling to dissipate, he responded, "Yes, I am..." but realization hit him before the thought could be finished, "Did you...just try to assist me, Claude?"

[*pulls a badly done "who are you kidding" face* I'm not lying!]

For the first time this evening, it was Claude's turn to flush. He disliked the unwelcome burning sensation, this feeling of embarassment colouring the pale skin on his cheekbones. He hadn't meant to. It had just happened. Reflex. He frowned and hastily covered up his mistake. "I may have. I assure you, simply reflex after caring for the many clumsy humans."

[*pulls a badly done "Oh, really?" face* Sure you're not...]

He couldn't help himself, allowing for the grin to come to pass as he sat a little straighter in his seat, knowing the smirk alone was going to get some form of a reaction out of the now flustered demon. That blush...it was nice to see him as flustered as the crow seemed to feel...

[*pouts and folds arms* I'm not!]

Claude felt the blush deepen when he saw the crow smirk. Why could he not control this... this aggravating rushing of blood to his cheeks? He knocked back the rest of his drink (relishing the alcoholic burn that chased away the tingle of a blush) and almost slammed down the mug, but caught himself just before it shattered against the counter. The spider scowled. "At least, I do not require assistance when I stand."

[Oh snap! Nice comeback there, Claude. I give you a small slow clap at that one. Touché]

And, as it had many times already this evening, his smirk vanished yet again, his eyes narrowing at that comment, the spider now grinning at his expense. That was a cheap shot. A valid one. But one that still left a burn. And speaking of which, Sebastian got hold of his drink, finishing off the half a glass remaining, grunting once again. There was more in there than he had originally realized. He shook it off, and went back to glaring at Claude, the annoyance dying down somewhat after that refresher from the drink. How odd. Still, he knew he still had to speak up against that last stab, knowing he would be ridiculed by the very smug gentleman before him if he didn't, "A moment of dizziness, Claude. Nothing more. I believe you showing care as you did was more astounding than me misplacing my footing, hmm?"

[Thank you, I will be here all week to pout and make bad comebacks! *bows low*]

The spider felt his smugness fade under the crow's glare. He also felt an amusement take out the sting of the anger that would have forced him to retaliate as he noticed the drink take some of the annoyance out of Sebastian's features. He felt his left eyebrow twitch in an effort not to let out an undemon like chuckle. He grinned suddenly and raised his shoulders in a shrug, uncaring that he was going against the nature he had instilled in himself. "You had a moment of dizziness, I had a moment of helpfulness. We both had a moment of weakness."

The crow rolled his eyes. He didn't wish for the conversation on the matter to end there. But heat rushed through him. Damn that drink. It was so strong. His head felt like it was floating. He felt very woozy. But...in a sense...it actually felt kind of nice, a suggested by the small smile on his face. He turned away from Claude, still hoping to hide this odd sensation and reaction from the demon beside him. He still had...something of a guard up...right? "Claude...I must ask," was he slurring...?

Claude had to bite back the grin curving on his face. If he wasn't mistaken, Sebastian was drunk, judging from the slight tinge of red in his cheeks and the slight sway in the movements he made. He had a small smile on his face, so unlike the usual sneer. It was a welcome feeling to have someone smile at him in a way other than the strange way Alois did. The spider sipped his drink, licking the residual (and somehow not as repulsive) taste of his lips. "What must you ask, Sebastian?"

["Wh-why are here three of you now, Claude?!" Sebastian suddenly gasped as his eyes snapped open]

The crow blinked. Then blinked once more. Just to be sure they were still focusing properly. He stared at the refilled glass, thinking he had probably had enough of this alcohol for now. He looked over to Claude, noticing the strange grin he was sending his way. He sat a little straighter to compensate for such, letting the thought come forth, "It is about Ciel and Alois. Something...I find very strange about them..."

[*smug smile* "Probably because you've had a teeny tiny bit too much to drink..." *shrugs and giggles*]

The spider couldn't help but laugh a little as the crow pulled himself straighter, blinking a couple of times as he did. This evening was strange indeed. For once, Claude felt... warm. As though he wasn't simply a means to an end or a bitter rival. He tilted his head and muttered, gaining volume as he spoke. "I can agree with the strange... But what is it you have noticed?"

["Wha-what? No I haven't" he slurred, not too slightly, "You-you just...decided to impersonate a cell, and split yourself up is all..."]

Sebastian giggled at that last comment. Although, it no longer really could be called a giggle. Now it was more like the beginnings of a proper laugh. It was weird. Something his normal self would never have done in the presence of someone like Claude...unless he was towering above the dead demon, laughing at his demise. He shook the laughter out of him, and continued, still smiling a little as his cheeks burned, "They...like to wear dresses. I find that strange. Don't you?"

["Please, as if I would bother myself with mitosis, just for you..." Claude sniffed haughtily.]

The spider wished that Sebastian hadn't stopped laughing. It was as though this feeling of fellowship was tied to his drinking partner's feelings of ease. He had to agree with the crow, it was bizarre. Especially hus master's overly short trousers. He nodded and frowned. "It is indeed rather strange. However, I have always questioned my master's rationality. His trousers are a bit... lacking."

["I bet you say that to all the demon's you try to impress"...yeah, he doesn't know what he's going on about now :XD:]

"Apparent, the trousers is a fashion thing. But the dresses," Sebastian persisted, so sure of himself as he continued, "I mean, children do bizarre things and whatnot but...what is the appeal? I've never tried it...nor do I plan to...but...I just thought I'd ask you, seeing as Alois seems to do it as well." Something at the very back of his hazy mind began to bug him a little on this very strange matter he was discussing with Claude. What made him suddenly ask such a question? What drove him to blurt out something he really didn't care for? Where was his level-head?!

["But, of course. Ordinarily I'd just have gathered said demon some souls..." Claude's just confused by the screaming fangirls *laughs*]

Claude for once wished that he could reassure someone else. It was odd, this desire to aid Sebastian out of his confusion. He wracked his brain. Ciel occasionally wore dresses as a disguise (unlike his master, who seemed to wear them for the sake of wearing them). He stared at the alcohol. 'Humans called it liquid courage, after all,' he mused. He knocked some of the drink down, downing half a glass. "At least, Ciel does it out of requirement, when he is investigating people and what not." The spider hesitantly patted the other demon's shoulder.

["Oh. So you don't get many demons, then, Huh?" Sebastian snickered evilly, "Seeing as you can't even take the soul of a little kid, hmm?"]

Sebastian stared with rose-coloured eyes at the hand that began to pat him. What...an odd feeling. What the hell was Claude doing that for? What was the purpose of patting him...? He turned back to the demon, a little startled at what he saw. Claude ws beginning to look a little...flushed. Did e perhaps get knocked sideways by the drink like Sebastian probably had? This alcohol stuff was...fascinating. Sebastian blinked, realizing how lost in thought he had become. He needed to respond to Claude now, he supposed, "Yes...and what not. I guess...each to their own." He pinched the bridge of his nose, not liking how weird he was beginning to sound, "Or something like that."

[Claude huffed, adjusted his glasses and crossed his arms. "I get enough demons, and I don't know how you are able to talk about me not getting one little brat's soul when you've been working for Ciel longer than I've worked with Alois."]

'Why was Sebastian staring at him like that?' Claude snuffed out the uncertain voice in his head, burying it far down so that it sank alongside his lost conscience. He smoothed back his hair to hide his moment of uncertainty. He tried to forget the feeling of the blush on his cheeks, tried to convince himself that it was simply the heat of the bar and not the alcohol. He drank some more, trying to escape the long-silenced voices in his head that were now much louder. He gave a half-shrug, a light lifting of shoulders. "Something like that. However, it is not much stranger than that reaper, Grell Sutcliff." He shuddered delicately, trying not to think of the bizarre red-head.

[...."I did not consider that when I decided to insult you," the drunk man admitted..."Well...you smell funny, so there!"]

Sebastian gave a little shiver at the mention of *that* name, regardless of how warm his insides were feeling. "Please! Don't mention that...whatever he thinks he is. The man...is in a species range all his own," the crow just couldn't really wrap his twirling head around that thought, now that Claude had mentioned it, deciding to ignore his inner voice's warning against drinking more. He took hold of the cold glass of golden liquid, slouching back a good amount of it. He felt his throat burn and head spin even more. But at least it helped with...whatever they were talking about. Yeah, definetly not going to have any more of that alcohol now...

[Claude takes a quick sniff at himself and protests. "I don't smell funny! I smell like moringa and violets, but only because I had to arrange Alois' flowers...."]

Claude marvelled at the loose, relaxed feeling spreading throughout him. It was no wonder that the crow was tossing back the alcohol as though it was a particularly delicious soul. He felt like laughing a little at Sebastian's distress, but for some reason, he could not bring himself to rub salt in that particular open wound. His hair flopped in front of his eyes, but for once he didn't bother to push it back. He tried to grin in a conciliatory manner. "Someone really needs to control him. Her. Him?" He glanced questioningly at the crow, suddenly feeling... fuzzy. And confused.

[*waits a blank moment. Then topples off seat in laughter*..."Wait, I arrange flowers too...huh. Sorry for laughing at you, Claude."]

"Will is supposed to...so I hear. And it's a...Grell. I think that's the only word we can really use for...Grell," the crow tried to look up, his head feeling even worse as he moved. God, where was he? He looked to Claude, noting he looked as bad as Sebastian was beginning to feel. Despite the happy warm feeling he had within, he was losing control of himself. That, he did not like. And he was becoming increasingly aware of it as babble poured out of his mouth. He rubbed his eyes now, resting an elbow on the counter, "Claude..."

["That's okay, I guess..." He pouted. "Honestly, you're a butler, too..."]

Claude felt a small, happy grin spread across his face. He didn't want to care about that fuzzy feeling. It was probably important, though. He stretched, not thinking about decorum and the image of his master's family name. It was nice, this way of not thinking or caring. He widened his grin, lazily, tryig to ignore the small warnings that his brain was trying to tell him. "Yes, Sebastian?'

["Not by choice, my good...er...sir! Yes, no, I am a demonic entity...disguised as a butler," *giggles slightly, "Shh, don't tell anyone!"]

Sebastian sat a little further back in his seat, still making sure his elbow was on some form of a surface to ensure he didn't fall off of it, "I...was here to do something important for Ciel, wasn't I?" He couldn't exactly remember what at this stage in time, but decided to keep that little fact to himself, "Why...why did I stop doing what I was meant to be doing, exactly?"

[He nods compliantly then leans in furtively. "Of course not, your secret is safe with me! I too am a demonic entity disguised as a butler."]

CLaude tried to focus as he hiccupped softly. Why had Sebstian come here? He wanted to help him, so why couldn't he remember anything? He thought some more, idly drawing little circles on the bar top with his fingers. "You were following someone, I think. It had something to do with your master's usual obsessions, murder or opium dens or prostitution, I would say. I think you stopped because of me."

[*gasps WAY too loudly* "What?! No way! I've heard about those things. They're evil...or something. God, I wish I was one."]

Sebastian watched Claude draw circles patterns into the counter top, a little curious by the motion. He wondered if it would look strange if he attempted to do the same. It looked like fun really. But he stopped the thought, looking up to the spider instead, the last few words Claude just replied with finally reaching his hazy mind, "Huh? I stopped because of you? Really? Why? Did you threaten me or something?"

[*grabs Sebastian and puts a hand over his mouth, looking suspiciously over his shoulders* "Shhhh! You'll draw attention to us, I don't wat to be found out!"]

Claude glanced at Sebastian, noticing that he kept staring at his fingers. He grinned and started drawing patterns only he could see on the counter, mildly worried that his spotless gloves may not remain so spotless on the filthy counter. He blinked lazily. "I think I proposed a truce. Or something." At this point, the details were so fuzzy, he could have proposed the truce as he said or maybe he'd collapsed on the floor in front of Sebastian, ranting about how weird Alois was. He didn't even know anymore.

[:XD: 'Collapse to the floor' I could believe that]
[*looks around worriedly "Draw attention to ourselves?!" he gasped, "Why? Is there something about us that people wouldn't like?!"]

A truce. "Would I have agreed to one of those?" He pondered out loud, almost forgetting that Claude was right in front of him as he watched the gentleman's patterns upon the counter change into objects he wasn't quite sure of now. How unfair. He decided to look back up, eyes taking a moment to adjust afterward. The demon before him, red faced and grinning foolishly, stared back at him. Sebastian snickered like a flirty school girl, "You look very strange, Claude."

[I couldn't help it... I see why authors do it, its really entertaining to try and mess with fans. and I keep half napping... x.x]
["Not at all... But They might be here..." Claude looks serious. "I'm sure everyone will love us, but THEY will do something..."]

Claude's grin faded somewhat. He looked strange? Had his glasses fallen down? He pushed them back up, in case, and quickly fixing the hair he had neglected to neaten. He stared at the red eyes, noting that they were a similar colour to blood. "I think you did agree." He shrugged again, something he would never have done before this night. "If you hadn't I don't think we would be sitting here."

Let me tell you the sad story of how I sat doodling and waiting just so I could be Claude... *laughs*

Sorry Claude X_X I got carried away with an image I'm doing for a contest. The deadline is Friday, and with the outage and other stuff, I'm cutting it close ^^; (Geez, the lights went off and on for a second. I thought we were about to have another outage. Would have had such a tantrum) BUT your Sebastian is here! YAY!

YAAAAAAAAAAY! *dances*

["They? Who are...they?" Sebastian whispered.]

He grinned, noting how Claude had quickly tried to fix himself up. It didn't help his read cheeks, his growing bloodshot eyes...and overall drunk looking self. The demon tried to readjust his arm slightly, his elbow now hurting with how heavily his body seemed to be resting on it. But moving in a slightly incorrect direction landed with him slipping right out of the seat. After waiting a moment, his vision began to focus as he looked up, Claude sitting above him now. Damn, the floor felt...comfy, actually

[I actually giggled a bit evilly... This whole drunken Claude thing is getting to me...] [Claude grabbed Sebastian's shoulders and whispered loudly. "The fangirls... They're out there, and they will catch up to us..."]

Claude blinked and leaned closer to Sebastian, feeling something highly unexpected rise in his throat. The full blown laughter bubbled up and spilled out, the usually formal butler laughing as though he was free, and not a demon who's next meal was dependant on his servitude. Sebastian's cofused expression would be one he would recognise for all of the eternity that his life would be. He leaned backwards, clutching at his stomach, and was caught completely off-guard when the rickety barstool toppled over under his weight, leaving him in a predicament all too similar to that of Sebastian. Even so, the laughter didn't stop, as though he was somehow compelled to laugh even though he was sure he should not be.

*confused

[:XD: The way I laughed at Claude falling over...freaked out the cat for a sec]
[*gasps very loudly* "NO! Not the fangirls! Please, anything but them!!"]

As soon as he saw the mountain of a demon spider go down, it was hard not to join in the hysterical laughter Claude had begun with. The two lay together on the floor for a moment, roaring laughs jumping back and forth between the two, both not realizing that they were in the middle of a crowded busy bar, people probably staring at the two of them, as they just lay there. Right then and there, there was no world. Just the two of them, lost in a drunken hazy....chuckling away...at God knows what. Eventually, Sebastian attempted to calm himself down, pushing himself up at the elbows so he and Claude could make some form of eye contact. But as soon as the two caught sight of the other, their red faces probably being the culprit, they were off again, giggling and chortling away...

[*cackles* When I read your part I did that snort thing I sometimes do... I'm alone on the bottom floor, so I couldn't freak anyone out unless I scream really loudly.]
[An authoritative, slightly insane look appeared on his face. "I have a plan." He looked around, surreptitiously. "It involves a few sacks, a needle and thread and any lumpy objects we can find."]

Claude laughed with his new friend. Yes, he now thought of Sebastian as his friend, even if the other demon did not have the same opinion. He attempted to inhale, the air barely entering his lungs before being expelled as a new fit of giggles struck. He tried to think about the important things in life, like how neither of them should be giggling on the floor and how neither of them were apparently able to stand on their own. He had a sudden idea and he offered his hands to the crow. If they could not stand without help, they would somehow drag each other up if they only worked together. "Sebastian..." he wheezed through the laughter. "Let me help you."

[Sebastian nodded, "Okay, I can help with that...wait...what are we going to do with these items" he suddenly looked confused]

Sebastian, still laughing like a maniac, let the loud words try and sink in. Help you? He remember Claude trying to do that earlier on. Sebastian gave him a hard time over it. Claude gave him a hard time for falling over...oh yeah, he had already fallen over earlier, didn't he? But now...it didn't feel as though he needed to give the demon giggling away before him a hard time over anything. Here they both were, on the floor, messing their suits and making a disgrace of themselves - although it didn't appear that they cared very much, in all honesty. Still. He swallowed back the scoffing fits and reached across, hoping this wasn't some trick Claude thought would be funny...

["Here's how it will go: first, we get into the sacks and sew them together." Claude looked around again. "Then we stuff things in with us and escape looking like two average sacks who are just going for a walk."]

The spider watched Sebastian weigh up his offering of help, both of them still laughing like fools. He hoped that his earlier mocking of the crow would not influence his decision, that Sebastian wouldn't reject him for his prior actions, before he had known the joys of companionship. When the other's hands reached over tentatively, he bit back any snarky joke he may have, clasped them and tried to stand, trying to lend his strength to the other demon so that they could both stand.

[some fangirl is going to take this scene the completely wrong way, I can predict that now :XD:]
["Oh Claude, that's a brilliant plan!" Sebastian laughed. But then he took a moment, "Wait a minute, Spider....Do sacks move?"]

The two struggled, each using the other to worm their way back up. First rose their arms. Next came their wobbly torsos. Finally, they managed to rest themselves back up on their knees. This was good. They were making very good progress.

[oops, pressed enter. Hang on a sec, nearly done]

[Of course *laughs* Fangirls live on misinterpretation]

But what neither had considered was that they were both wearing smooth cotton gloves. They made it far, but it wasn't enough. Sebastian's hand slipped through Claudes, both tumbling back over onto the floor.

[Claude glanced drunkenly at the sacks in the corner. "Well, those sacks are moving, so I'm sure it's perfectly atural for sacks to move."]
[This song, Bromance just came on... iTunes is really getting it *laughs*]

The air escaped Claude's lungs with an "Oof!" as his back hit the floor, the sound echoed by the other demon. He sat up slowly, rubbing his head blearily. He pulled off his gloves, placing them in one of his pockets, his black nails gleaming in the candle light. "I will admit, that was not the best of my plans. I would suggest you take off your gloves before we try again." He, once again, offered his hands out to the crow, hoping that Sebastian would not see the slip as a trick on Claude's part.

[:XD: Oh lord, Claude. Well played *claps slowly* Sebastian looked at the sacks, "Oh yeah, you're right. You're a genius man!" *Sebastian flops over and gives him a loose hug, "You're the best!" *proceeds to falls asleep in a drunken snore]
[I didn't know iTunes was a fangirl!  RUN!]

Sebastian struggled his way back into something of an easier to move position, staring at Claude's bare hands. The contract seemed to glow in his hazy eyes. He then felt his eyes snap wide open, eyes flashing in an almost panic. At the back of his mind, an important voice - one that almost sounded like Ciel's - yelled at him. He remembered! He was here on a mission. He felt his left hand itch irritatingly as he sprung woozily into an upright sitting position as he pushed back his messy bang, "Oh good God, no!"

[Claude joined in the clapping, for no other reason than he really felt like clapping. A soft snore reached his ears. 'I should really move us away from potential fangirls...' He proceeded to wrap his arms around Sebastian and he stood up, managing to walk them both as far as about two steps, before collapsing and falling asleep himself.]

Claude flinched involuntarily as Sebastian leapt up into a sitting position. He flexed his fists and pulled his gloves on, suddenly feeling all to sober. He had been wrong, Sebastian might never see him as a friend. He ran a careful hand through his hair, brushed the dust off his suit and adjusted his glasses, carefully fixing every aspect of his appearance. He inclined his head formally, his jaw muscles flexing to hide his disappointment. "My apologies, Sebastian."

[Well, now we'll have a fangirl problem with TWO (not bad looking) DEMONS sleeping together on the floor :XD:]
[Wow, they sobered up quickly...sort of...Sebastian is still very tipsy, so don't worry Claude too much  ]

The crow had to blink, hoping the drowsy feeling would ware off a lot quicker than it was. How did things go down so quickly? Look at him! Sitting like a fool on the floor, laughing away with a man he should be calling an enemy! He was ready to make a scene now. Using whatever rage he could manage in his tispy state to give Claude a piece of what the Phantomhive butler was capable off. He turned a glare towards the man before him, but stopped as he caught sight of the look the demon was giving him. It was strange. It was one of pity. One of shame. One of...remorse. Such dishonourable traits for a butler. He would have it...if he wanted to. But instead, he was showing Sebastian exactly what he was thinking. And those soft words, spoken in a broken manner. He felt bad. Looking as though he had...lost something. Sebastian turned his eyes away, his glare falling into a pitiful look, "Claude, I..." He shut his eyes, a little annoyed as he let out, "It's alright."

[I think we should use Claude's sack plan to escape the rabid fangirls... *laughs*]

Claude felt shame at the level of emotions he was experiencing, but at the same time, there was deep relief at Sebastian's words. He swallowed and nodded quickly, desperately trying to fall back into the level of mirth he had been in, not five minutes before. "You have my gratitude." He tried to wear that carefree grin he had just had. "I suppose we need to find whomsoever your master wishes to apprehend, unless you wish to experience death by brat."

[*Runs to grab sacks*]

He couldn't deny that remark was worth of a small smirk. Regardless of what issues they may have with one another, his master was somewhat of a pain. But still. He shook his hair back into place somewhat

[We are pretending that Sebastian is too drunk to notice the fact that Claude knows exactly why Sebastian is at the bar, seeing as he didn't mention it at all to Claude. I'll save that for when they are sober the next day]

>>>Side not: TimeRunner realized a few chapter too late that in their drunken haze, Claude had already mentioned this fact...Hopefully Sebastian was too drunk to notice it happening twice ^^;...<<<

, staring at the demon sitting before him, "Claude...why do you help me?" He attempted to ask this seriously, hoping to straighten things out before proceeding with his next very risky move....

[*puts sack on so that only eyes are visible* "Alright, now let's hop for the door and hope for the best..."]

Claude was momentarily frustrated at his slip. How could he have let Sebastian know that he knew why the crow was here? Thankfully, the crow did not seem to notice, but was asking other uncomfortable questions once again. The spider fiddled with his coat sleeves as he bared his soul (or the hole where his soul used to be) for what felt like the thousandth time that evening. "Maybe I am tired, tired of fighting everyone about everything." He tried to let his amber eyes reveal exactly what he felt, instead of the normally blank mirror they revealed. "I thought that, since you are a worthy opponent, you might be an equally worthy ally."

[*begins to hop, but instead proceeds to fall over, not noticing the two asleep demon men in the way "Goshdarnit!!"]

He felt as though he were about to stutter at that confession. He was so sincere. He actually meant what he was saying. Sebastian gave a small grin, managing to get a foot beneath him as he slowly tried to stand. Once stable enough - a hand on the counter as reinforcement - he reached out towards the still rosy butler seated on the dusty wooden floor before him, his grin becoming a small smile, "Need a hand, then?"

[Whoosh! We have reached over 10 000 words! Yay us!]

[*huffs* "I completely forgot that I left those two there. Should've thought that one through... Okay, now for Plan B."]
[*throws little flowers and spins in them* Woooh! That's longer than a lot of people's average fic lengths....]

Claude's breath exited his body from his surprise. He managed to clamber to his knees and reach up to take the offered hand. "Yes, please." It was possibly the most polite he had been to anyone that was not his master in a very long time. He only hoped that this friendship, this comradery lasted longer than his masters did.

[*muffled response* "Whaffs plan B?"]

Sebastian yanked him back up, helping him back into some form of a standing position. He would have suggested they both take a minute to sit in the seats, just till the rush wore off...but both their seats were laying on the floor after each took a fall. The crow dusted his coat as Claude readjusted his, looking down somewhat, "I...do not understand why things seemed to have changed between the two of us this evening, Claude. Whether it be from the copious amounts of alcohol, or just..." He looked up, trying to build up some strength to look at the one he could now call comrade, "talking to the other for the first time. I feel that, now, I can...call you a...friend, I guess." He immediately looked away once more, not daring to look at the expression Claude now wore.

[*peeks her head out of the sack in a manner reminiscent to that of a meerkat* "Uuuum... Leopard crawl out? Or maybe we should cover these two with the sacks and hope that the fangirls don't realise they're here...]

The spider watched the crow look away from him. The strange nervous feeling that he had felt ever since this whole debacle of alcohol and truces began finally disappated, and was replaced by a small, genuine smile. "I believe that I can call you the same," he gathered his courage, without alcohol this time, "... And I'm... glad. Glad that I can call you my friend." He stretched out one white gloved hand to shake his... friend's hand and seal this strange friendship that they had.

Sebastian cast his eyes back to the gentleman before him, noting the outstretched arm. He let a warm breath fall out, the taste of alcohol not being as appealing as it first had been. He looked back toward Claude small beam, letting one of his own transmit as he grabbed hold of the gloved digits the spider offer him, shaking them firmly.

Claude couldn't help but widen his grin, a seemingly automatic response. He let go of the breath he had been holding in anticipation. He tightened his grip slightly before letting go. "Well, I do believe we should remove any lingering taint from the alcohol so that neither of us requires punishment from our masters. I believe that humans eat to lessen the effects."

[Is Claude now taking Sebastian to dinner?? :XD: If it ends in a good night kiss, we are very much screwed...]

The crow tilted his head slightly, curious by the not-so-subtle proposal Claude had just made. *Eat*? It did make sense. He often fed something to (what's that dude's name? The Japanese guy that Ciel often asks for help from? The one with the prostitute following him X_X? Damn, I just saw him but I have forgotten now! Well, that guy) when he had...too much. Still. It was...odd. Perhaps the alcohol hadn't quite warn off on Claude yet, he figured. Offering such a thing. The crow tried a smirk, "It is quite late, Claude. Is there a particular place you have in mind?"

[I have a feeling I'm going to have to separate this into Chapters, it is so long. I have no problem with this, though
By the way, do you have any ideas for the cover? I'll be working on that when I'm done with this contest thing]

[I have a basement and a dungeon and a cellar (old house) we can hide out there for a bit. Hmmm.... The cover... I must think on this.]

[We must call it the Batcave then!]

[Lau, his name is Lau. Lau Tao if I'm not mistaken... *laughs*]
[The Batcave it is!]

[Thank you ^^; I was getting so miffed that I couldn't remember. I knew it was something with an 'L']
[Hazaa!]

Claude couldn't help the sheepish expression on his face. The offer of food had come out unexpectedly, it had seemed natural at the time, something he had often see friends do with each other. He frowned slightly. "I am not actually sure, as I make dinner more often than not. We are butlers after all."

[Yep, definitely going to have a fangirl problem here. SOMEONE HAND ME SOME 'ANTI-FANGIRL' SPRAY! QUICKLY]

The crow almost took a step back at that comment, his smile very confused. Yes, Claude was still very drunk. Sure, they both could cook. But...well, they couldn't go to either one of the manors, now could they? Their masters wold surely have something to say about it! He could only shiver at the thought of what Ciel would say to him. What orders he'd suddenly start shouting out. He tried to compose his anxious thoughts, coming up with a new plan of action, "Um...perhaps we should look around the town instead, hmm? I do not believe either one of us is capable of handling kitchen wear at the moment, don't you think?" He figured that was a decent enough excuse for the change in plans

[What is with me and subconciously trying to incite a fangirl attack? *huffs* I'll begin furnishing the Batcave...]

Claude shook his head to clear the fog that had settled in it. What had possessed him to suggest that? Alois would do something that would, no doubt, be rather creepy and, again with no doubt at all, scare the crow away. In all honesty, there were several times when he felt as though he should bolt when his master opened his mouth. He retrieved his scattered wits. "Indeed, I am not opposed to that. Far more well thought out than my own suggestion."

[XD I can just see Alois running into a flock of crows and 'scaring them away' now]
[We need a Batmobile, and a butler!  I volunteer for the job!]

"But of course," Sebastian smugly added. He decided that the crook he was in search for wasn't really going anywhere, the man passed out in one of the booths. And the crow wasn't yet in a well enough mind-set to take anyone on at the moment. He paid the barman what they owed, and made for the door, Claude a mere few steps behind. The icy air rushed past him, the warm finally dying down somewhat. He drew in a breath, smiling now. God, that felt good. With Claude standing beside him - enjoying the weather now as much as he was - they began their wobbly walk off into the desolate town, the street lights being their own guide along the cobbled path.

>>>That marks the end of Chapter 1 :w00t: The Authors’ Comments continue on into Chapter 2. Hopefully, it shall follow soon :D<<<

Welcome to a tale of friendship, friendship between mortal enemies! (And several other little plotlets on the side, we were liberal with the creative juice with this recipe.)

After four months of promising, here it is: the very first chapter in mine and :iconthe-timerunner:'s Role Play for Kuroshitsuji! *hides behind hands because it is her fault that it took so long*

We apologize for the lateness of it all, but corresponding with my hermit-self is time consuming and incredibly difficult...*shrugs in apology*

So, le fic is a bit AU. Not completely, but a bit. It was also supposed to be a one-shot, buuuuut... weeeelll... It's now a full-blown fic. (Like a run-away train, it made a break for freedom and evolved from an average one-shot to a complex creature with a desire to bleed us dry of creativity. *calls of "Feed me, Seymore," are heard in the background*) Also, we haven't set a specific time for it, it's just somewhere in Season Two of Kuroshitsuji.

I have absolutely loved writing this as it gave me the chance to pick at Claude Faustus' brain, while :iconthe-timerunner: picked at the brain of Sebastian Michaelis. The story was then edited by TimeRunner (with my five cents worth in the background) and the covers (both versions) was done by TimeRunner.... (Go check them out, and the related artwork!!!)

If you'd rather read the normal fic (and not our sleep deprived/sugar charged insanity), go have a look at it at here:
